When is Modern Warfare 3 coming out?

MW3’s release date has been on the minds of Call of Duty fans since the logo was accidentally leaked by an upcoming promotion with Monster Energy.

With the launch of Season 5, we learned that a Modern Warfare 3 reveal event will take place in Warzone 2. According to dataminers, it’s coming on August 17.

However, the developer has finally revealed the MW3 release date so we know exactly when we’ll be able to jump into the new CoD title.

When is the MW3 release date?

MW3’s release date is November 10, 2023, as confirmed by the official Call of Duty Twitter account.

The announcement came alongside a short cinematic that showed glimpses of Captain Price and Vladimir Makarov. While details of the narrative are still under wraps, we can safely assume that Makarov will be the main villain in MW3.

On top of that, there are also rumours that another controversial “No Russian” mission is on the cards for MW3, which is guaranteed to cause a stir if it’s anything like the 2009 original.

With the Modern Warfare 3 reveal event in Warzone 2 rumoured to be arriving on August 17, it’s safe to say we can expect a lot more details then.

According to reports, Sledgehammer Games is the developer creating MW3, with Treyarch expected to be tackling the CoD title launching in 2024.

Sledgehammer’s back catalogue of CoD games includes WWII, Advanced Warfare, and of course, Vanguard. With the reception towards these titles, particularly Vanguard, being mixed at best, Sledgehammer will be looking to score a win with the community in MW3.
