We’ve only just been able to dive into the latest season of Fortnite, but many fans will already be wondering when Chapter 5 Season 2 ends, as well as when the next season can be expected to drop.
The most recent season is themed around the myths and monsters of Ancient Greece, with some fresh locations added to the map alongside new items including the Wings of Icarus, the Thunderbolt of Zeus, and other weapons. Often these new seasons bring in plenty of new changes, so here’s how long you’ve got to wait until the next one.
When is Chapter 5 Season 2 set to end?
The current season of Fortnite is scheduled to come to an end on May 24, 2024.
This hasn’t been officially announced by Epic Games, but that’s the date the new Battle Pass is set to expire – which always coincides with the end of a season.
Of course, this date could change if there are any issues with the next update, so keep that in mind. Fortunately, there’s still plenty left to come in this season, with Avatar Korra set to be unlocked in a few weeks.

When will Chapter 5 Season 3 be released?
Traditionally, new seasons drop after some significant downtime, but it’s usually the same day or the day after the current season ends – meaning we can expect Season 3 to begin on the weekend of May 24.
Again, there can always be complications preventing the game from following this timeline. The current Myths & Monsters season was delayed by nearly a whole day before it was possible to jump on.
So far, I’ve been loving the new season and can’t wait to see what else is introduced between now and the end of May. During the trailer, some water powers were being used by Korra, so hopefully, even more unique abilities will be introduced before the season ends.
