The latest update for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has added the Weapon X Lab to the map from the beloved X-Men franchise. The location is famously where Wolverine was kept while he was being experimented on, and where he was first given his Adamantium skeleton.
With the new Magneto skin and the Magneto Power gauntlets bringing X-Men fever to the game, it’s only fair that we get a new location easter egg to go along with it. Here’s where you can find the new location on the map.
Weapon X Lab map location
The Weapon X Lab is located in the snowy mountain region of the Fortnite map, just south of the Grand Glacier POI. I’ve marked it on the map below.
You should easily see the entrance to the lab, as the bunker door is wide open. Providing there are no other players around, you should be able to walk right in.
Sadly, there’s not much to do at the Weapon X Lab just now, aside from a couple of chests you can loot for weapons and resources. It’s a cool room to explore, though, with several control panels and experimentation pods, one of which is smashed from the inside out. This is presumably to indicate that Wolverine has escaped, which is also evidenced by the massive claw marks on the walls.
If you’re looking to unlock the new Magneto skin in Fortnite, you’ll need to visit this location to complete one of his challenges. As such, this area is quite hotly contested with other players trying to do the same thing, so be sure to explore this location with caution!
