While there are many third-party tools on the market that provide an alias for your mail id, Yahoo mail has a built-in feature. If you use Yahoo mail as your primary email, you should know how to use this useful feature. Let us see how to activate and use it.
Steps to enable disposable addresses in Yahoo Mail
This can really help you hide your primary email address from people and services you’re not sure about.
Step 1: Sign in to your Yahoo account and navigate to Option to the top of the interface. Select Mail Options from the drop-down menu.
Step 2: From the left pane of the web interface, select Disposable address and start thinking about keywords that you want to use as alias identifiers (id).
Step 3: Enter the base address for your disposable address and save it. Choose it carefully because you can only change it once. Also note that this is not a complete disposable address (it will have a second part). More importantly, this will remain common to all the disposable addresses you create.
Step 4: Next, click the Add button to add the second part to your disposable address.
Step 5: Select the second part of your alias here. This is a section that can be changed as many times as you like. You can create multiple aliases this way and delete any at any time.
That way, you can choose which addresses you want to share with which people or websites. If you feel that those contacts are spamming you, simply delete the alias and you’ll never see mail from them again.
