Troy Brown height-American football coach and ex-wide receiver, Troy Brown was born on July 2nd, 1971 in Barnwell, South Carolina in the United States of America.
At Blackville, South Carolina, Brown attended Blackville-Hilda High School. He was told he was too tiny to play football since he was just 5’6″ and 135 pounds.
He nonetheless earned letters in track and field and football. With a 14-1 record, his high school team captured the state title in 1988.

Former wide receiver Brown now serves as the New England Patriots’ wide receivers and kick returners coach in the National Football League (NFL).
He participated in 15 NFL seasons, playing his whole time with the Patriots. Brown played college football at Marshall and was taken by the Patriots in the eighth round of the 1993 NFL Draft.
He earned Pro Bowl recognition while playing with New England, and he was a part of the first three Super Bowl champions for the organization. Brown returned to the Patriots in 2020 as an offensive assistant.
In 2010, he was admitted to the College Football Hall of Fame. In 2012, Brown was also admitted into the Patriots Hall of Fame.
Due to his playing style and years of commitment to his club, Brown is a fan favorite among many Patriots supporters. His induction into the Patriots Hall of Fame at Patriots Place was the result of his punt return in the 2001 AFC Championship and other significant plays throughout his Pats career.
The Boston Globe reported on March 13, 2008, that the Patriots will not extend a contract to Brown for the 2008 campaign. Brown announced his retirement from the NFL on September 25, 2008, during a press conference with Patriots owner Robert Kraft and head coach Bill Belichick.
With 557 catches, he ended his playing career as the New England Patriots’ all-time leader in that category.
On June 4, 2012, it was revealed that Brown had defeated former head coach Bill Parcells and safety Fred Marion in a fan poll to be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame.
He started coaching with the New England Patriots in an unofficial capacity at the start of the 2019 NFL season, helping out wide receivers coach Joe Judge, who was frequently preoccupied with his other job as special teams coordinator.
In addition in 2016, he was a member of the Bill Walsh Minority Coaching Fellowship working with the Patriots.
The inclusion of Brown on the coaching staff of the Patriots was formally announced in 2020. He would be the team’s kick returners and running backs coach. Brown was hired in 2021 to coach wide receivers and kick returners.
Brown has worked as a football commentator for NBC Sports Boston since 2008. Brown portrayed himself in the Family Guy episode “Patriot Games,” along with teammate Tom Brady.
He also had a cameo in the 2012 film The Three Stooges. Brown works for the Narragansett Beer Company as a spokesperson and investor.
