Tim Ballard Awards: Tim Ballard, officially known as Timothy Ballard is an American activist, speaker, and author.

He worked for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and then as a special agent in the United States Department of Homeland Security.

Ballard is the founder and former CEO of Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.), an anti-sex trafficking organization.

He founded O.U.R., a non-profit organization in 2013 and has credited his organization with rescuing thousands of trafficking victims

In 2019, Ballard was appointed to the White House Public-Private Partnership Advisory Council to End Human Trafficking but the council was later terminated.

Ballard parted with O.U.R. in early 2023. Apart from his work with O.U.R, he is the former CEO of The Nazarene Fund, a Glenn Beck-backed Christian organization.

The American action film, “Sound of Freedom” starring Jim Caviezel was inspired by the work of Ballard. The film was announced in 2018 and released in theaters in 2023.

In September 2023, Ballard hit the headlines when he broke his silence after being condemned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

The Church released a statement on Friday, 15 September 2023 referring to Tim Ballard’s behavior as “morally unacceptable.”

The Church’s statement was in response to documents detailing a criminal investigation into Tim Ballard and his nonprofit.

While on a tour in Boston, Ballard addressed a crowd of supporters saying; “It’s not true, nothing you hear is true”. He encouraged them to send his recorded statements to the media.

Tim Ballard won the 2017 Social Entrepreneur Award at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2017 Utah Region Awards.
