In January 2010, the twin girls had an argument with their mother and it soon developed into a fight that took Nikki’s life. She was beaten up by a vase and then stabbed with a knife until she gave up the ghost after minutes of struggling to keep her dear life. The twin girls absconded the scene and went into hiding. After four months, they were arrested in May 2010. Initially pleading not guilty of the charges, they later agreed to having killed their mother on the said day but on voluntary manslaughter charges that came with a lesser imprisonment punishment.
