The Sims 4 For Rent Expansion Pack release date, Tomarang world & Residential Rentals

Sul sul, Simmers, it’s time for another DLC to be added to The Sims 4’s ever-expanding offering of content, this time in the form of the For Rent Expansion Pack.

We’ve already seen our fair share of Packs released in The Sims 4 this year alone, with the return of Stuff Packs in the form of Home Chef Hustle being to most recent addition to the game.

Thankfully, we’ve already got all of the details on when For Rent is due to release in The Sims 4, alongside a trailer that gives us a pretty in-depth look at what we’ll be able to add to our game once it arrives – so here’s a rundown of all we know.

When does The Sims 4 For Rent Expansion Pack release?

As shared during the reveal trailer, For Rent will be released on December 7, 2023 – that’s not much time at all!

Additionally, if Simmers purchase For Rent anytime between November 2, 2023, and January 18, 2024, there’ll also be three special items available to use in-game with the Street Eats Digital content: Peak Freshness Fruit Basket, Quick Treats Grill, and the Streetside Stars Shade.

What is the new world in The Sims 4 For Rent Expansion?

The new world in For Rent will be the Southeast Asian-inspired world of Tomarang. As shared on The Sims’ official blog post, it’s set to be “a scenic world nestled in a lush tropical landscape and vibrant city skyline.”

During the reveal trailer, we also got a little sneak peek at what the world looks like, a screenshot of which you can see below:

Interestingly, The Sims team have consulted with Jason Chu, an American-Asian rapper, in order to “deliver more choices with how players explore and express their individuality.

We don’t know much about what the world itself will look like on the map, or the Neighborhoods themselves just yet, but we’ll update this section with additional details as we get closer to launch.

There’s also likely to be plenty of new CAS and Build/Buy items on offer, which we’ve already had a great look at during the reveal trailer.

What’s more, there even seems to be something like a new illness of sorts that was shown off during it, but just what it is as of yet we don’t know (we’ve popped a screenshot of that below for you to check out).
