Sophie Winkleman children-English actress, Sophie Lara Winkleman was born on August 5th, 1980 in Primrose Hill, London in the United Kingdom.

She was born to Barry Winkleman and Cindy Black. Winkleman happens to be the half-sister to the TV personality, Claudia Winkleman whom she shares the same father with.

Sophie Winkleman had her education at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, where she studied English literature, and the City of London School for Girls.

She became a member of the Cambridge Footlights and created and acted in the three-month British tour of the comedic revue Far Too Happy, which earned the group its first Perrier Award nomination in 20 years.

Winkleman’s portrayal of Clara Gold in Waking the Dead earned her a BBC nomination for Best Newcomer. She made her breakthrough on American television as the lead in the NBC comedy 100 Questions as Charlotte Payne.

On December 3rd, 2017, it was revealed that Winkleman had suffered a broken back and foot as a result of a head-on collision.

She was riding in the backseat of a car driven by a chauffeur when another motorist struck her car after swerving to miss a deer. She will not experience long-term issues, but weeks of recovery were expected.

Winkleman and her husband, Lord Fredrick Windsor has two daughters together.

Their first daughter, Maud Elizabeth Daphne Marina Windsor was born on August 15th, 2013 at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. She is the first grandchild of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.

Their second child, Isabella Alexandra May Windsor was also born on January 16th, 2016 at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
