Shelton Benjamin Age, Height, Weight: Shelton Benjamin, also known as Shelton James Benjamin is an American professional wrestler.

He developed a passion for wrestling at a younger age and began his professional wrestling career in WWE’s developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW).

Benjamin has been consistent throughout his career and has become one of the most sought-after professional wrestlers.

Under Ohio Valley Wrestling, he held the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship four times; three times with Brock Lesnar and once with Rodney Mack.

Benjamin was later moved to the WWE main roster where he formed an alliance known as Team Angle with Kurt Angle and Charlie Haas.

With WWE, he won the Intercontinental Championship thrice, the United States Championship once, the WWE (Raw) Tag Team Championship thrice, and the WWE 24/7 Championship thrice.

Benjamin is best known for his tenures with WWE, from 2000 to 2010, and then again from 2017 to 2023. He’s widely considered one of the greatest WWE wrestlers to never win a world title.

In September 2023, he hit major headlines after he was released by the WWE after completing their merger with UFC under TKO Group Holdings on September 12.

The merger has resulted in mass layoffs with a number of employees released in the divisions considered redundant. Benjamin was released in April 2010 but returned in August 2017 and has been released again in September 2023.

As of this writing, eight WWE stars have reportedly been released from the company with more expected soon. The eight are; Dolph Ziggler, Mustafa Ali, Shelton Benjamin, Elias, Riddick Moss, Rick Boogs, Emma, and Aaliyah.
