Born on 2 August 1976, Desabre, hailing from Valence, has an extensive managerial career with notable stints at clubs such as ES Cannet-Rocheville, ASEC Mimosas, Coton Sport, and Espérance de Tunis. He has also coached teams like Ismaily SC in the Egyptian Premier League, Recreativo do Libolo, Dubai Club, JS Saoura, and Wydad AC.

Sébastien Desabre is recognized for his stature, standing at an impressive height of 1.82 meters. This physical attribute contributes to his overall presence and charisma, whether on the sidelines as a football manager or in various other facets of his public appearances.

In December 2017, just before the 2018 African Nations Championship, Desabre signed a multi-year contract with the Federation of Uganda Football Associations to manage the Uganda national team, earning a gross monthly salary of $25,000. He took over from Milutin Sredojević and led the Cranes to qualify for the 2019 African Cup of Nations after defeating Cape Verde in November 2018.

Despite the success, Desabre‘s contract with Uganda was mutually terminated on 6 July 2019. Shortly afterward, he became the head coach of Pyramids FC in the Egyptian Premier League. On 19 January 2020, Desabre rejoined Wydad AC.

In 2022, he took on the role of the coach for the DR Congo national football team, succeeding Argentine Héctor Cúper. His four-year contract aims to guide DR Congo through the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, following their failure to qualify for the 2022 tournament.
