Robin Windsor career
When Windsor was three years old, his parents put him in a local Ipswich dancing school, sparking his interest in dance. He started out studying ballroom and Latin dancing and went on to compete at the top levels in both styles.
Due to his abilities, he was finally chosen to play for England and went on to win multiple World Championships at the national and international levels. Windsor did well in the junior ballroom dancer and juvenile ballroom dancer divisions. He competed in the World Championships on behalf of England.
Windsor’s debut season of Strictly Come Dancing took place in 2010. His business partner was Kristina Rihanoff. In addition to taking their relationship off the Strictly Dance Floor, they performed Solo Routines on Strictly Come Dancing. In 2013, they both headlined Burn the Floor in London’s West End.
Their partnership has brought them all over the world; they have taught big groups at this unique event and danced in the South African version of Strictly Come Dancing. They have also attended charity events and Strictly Cruise Ship events.
Inspired by the greatest song and dance sequences from the last fifty years of Hollywood’s golden age, ‘Puttin’ On The Ritz’, a touring theatrical production starring Robin Windsor and Kristina Rihanoff from the hit BBC TV series Strictly Come Dancing, debuted in the summer of 2015.
Puttin on The Ritz featured a cast of award-winning singers and dancers and took the audience on a spectacular song and dance adventure featuring music by George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, and more.
Additionally, Windsor and Rihanoff participated in Dance Weekends all across the county. Dancing with the Stars Weekend 2015, Old Windsor, Berkshire, Beaumont Estate Hotel, Friday, July 10–Sunday, July 12, 2015.
Beginning with Beginners Ballroom in March 2015 at Cecil Sharp House in London, Windsor launched his own line of dance lessons under his own brand. Same-sex ballroom lessons in a music hall setting began in April 2015 at The Wilton Music Hall in London.
