The Pokemon TCG Classic collection includes three ready-to-play decks headlined by the instantly recognisable Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise cards from the Pokemon TCG Base Set that launched in the 1990s.

Each 60-card deck features iconic cards from the Pokemon TCG’s history alongside new cards like Lugia ex, Ho-Oh ex, and Suicune ex. There are also fresh Tool Cards to discover including Drops in the Ocean, Scorching Charcoal, and Sun Seed.

Elsewhere in the Pokemon TCG Classic collection, players will get a high-quality game board, a toolbox containing all the accessories you need to play, three deck boxes, and three sets of card sleeves to protect your precious, very expensive cards.

The set has been created in collaboration with design firm nendo, with The Pokemon Company describing it as “both beautiful and functional to deliver a polished battling experience”.

One important thing to point out is that the cards featured in the Pokemon TCG Classic collection cannot be used in official tournaments, except for the Basic Energy cards. This means it’s ideal for friendly games or to keep as a collectable item.
