Rapper Lil Wayne Reportedly Sold The Entire Young Money Catalog For $100m To Universal Music Group

Rapper Lil Wayne was in the news last week for selling his masters for $100 million, but new developments coming in suggest the rapper sold more than his masters as it is revealed he sold the masters from Drake and Nicki Minaj as well.

According to Music Business Worldwide, a pending lawsuit reveals that the ‘No Ceilings’ rapper’s settlement also sold Young Money’s entire catalog to Universal Music Group.

Some statement from the lawsuit reads, “Plaintiffs are informed and believe… that, subsequent to [Sweeney’s] termination [as Wayne’s manager], specifically in or about June of 2020, Lil Wayne was able to sell the Young Money Masters to Universal Music Group for an excess of $100 million.”

Lil Wayne took Drake and Nicki Minaj under his wings when he signed them to his Young Money label with both artists releasing quick a number of projects under the label.
