The season-long Timeless Travels Special Research quest has arrived in Pokemon GO, so we’ve rounded up all the tasks and rewards you can earn along the way.
It’s become a tradition for Pokemon GO to feature an extra-long Special Research quest each season that takes Trainers months to finish. For the Timeless Travels season, this quest features a massive 14 steps including some tasks that take a whole week to complete.
Pokemon GO Timeless Travels Special Research tasks
Here are all of the tasks and rewards in the Timeless Travels Special Research quest so far:
Step 1 of 14

| Catch 25 Pokemon | 3 Charged TMs |
| Make 15 Curveball Throws | 15 Poke Balls |
| Catch 15 different species of Pokemon | 3 Fast TMs |
Completion rewards: 1000 XP, 500 Stardust, and a Pikachu encounter
Step 2 of 14
| Task | Reward |
| Catch a Pokemon on 7 different days | 2500 XP |
| Earn a heart with your Buddy on 7 different days | 2500 Stardust |
| Visit a PokeStop on 7 different days | 2500 XP |
Completion rewards: 2000 XP, 500 Stardust, and 1 Poffin
Because step two of this Special Research quest features a block in the path, requiring Trainers to complete seven days’ worth of activities before progressing, we won’t know what the next steps are until at least December 17, 2023.
If you’re not someone who plays Pokemon GO every day, I’d recommend setting a reminder to spin a PokeStop, earn a heart with your Buddy, and catch a Pokemon every morning – then you’ll be on your way to the next step of this quest before you know it.
