Pokemon GO Hisuian Typhlosion weaknesses, best counters & Shiny details

Hisuian Typhlosion is making its Pokemon GO debut roughly two years after it was first released in Pokemon Legends: Arceus! You’ll be able to take on this Pokemon in Raid Battles, and I’ve got a list of counters and weaknesses to help you out.

In addition to ensuring you can beat Hisuian Typhlosion and catch one for yourself, I’ve included some details on the Shiny version of this Pokemon in case you’re looking to get one from the Raid. So with that, let’s dive right into Hisuian Typhlosion’s weaknesses.

Hisuian Typhlosion weaknesses in Pokemon GO

Hisuian Typhlosion is a Fire/Ghost-type Pokemon, which means it’s weak to Water, Rock, Ground, Dark, and Ghost-type attacks. Any of these types will be effective against Hisuian Typhlosion.

However, if you’re using a Ghost-type you need to be aware that you’ll also be taking super-effective damage from any Ghost-type moves that Hisuian Typhlosion might have. Therefore, it’s usually safer to bring something like a Dark-type or a Rock-type to make sure you’re not taking too much damage yourself.

Best counters to defeat Hisuian Typhlosion

Here’s a list of some of the best counters you can use against Hisuian Typhlosion:

These Pokemon all have favourable match-ups with Hisuian Typhlosion, so you should consider using them if you have them. They’ll need to be powered up with a decent CP to make sure they’re sturdy enough.

We’ve also listed their best moves, but as long as you’re using any moves that are super-effective against Typhlosion you should be good to go. You may also want to use the Mega, Shadow or Primal versions of these Pokemon if available as they’re typically even stronger.

Can you get a Shiny Hisuian Typhlosion in Pokemon GO?

Yes, you can get a Shiny version of Hisuian Typhlosion. However, it’s very rare, so you might need to battle a lot of them before you find one.

If you get lucky and find a Shiny you’ll definitely want to catch it. Hisuian Typhlosion will have boosted Shiny odds during the Raid Day event, so make sure you’re battling between 2pm to 5pm on January 14, 2024.

Playing during this time will give you the best chance of finding a Shiny Hisuian Typhlosion to add to your collection, and it’ll be much harder to find one outside of this event time.
