Paul Kitching Wife: Meet Katie O’Brian: Paul Kitching was a famous British chef who owned Juniper and 21212 restaurants.
He opened Juniper restaurant in Manchester and in 2008, Paul Kitching together with his wife, Katie O’Brian opened another restaurant named 21212 in Edinburgh which was awarded a Michelin star between 2009 and 2019 as well as other awards including the best new restaurant in the UK, four AA rosettes, and Catering in Scotland’s Restaurant of the Year.
Paul Kitching died in the early hours of Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at his home. However, the cause of his death is yet to be disclosed. Announcing his death on December 15, his wife, Katie O’Brian wrote on social media “I’m sorry to say the love of my life has gone.”

She also shared a message to the restaurant’s mailing list, revealing the news. She wrote; “Dear friends, It is with a heavy heart that I write to let you know that I’ve lost my love – Paul – who sadly passed away yesterday.
“The death has come as a total shock to us at 21212 and we are trying to come to terms with the passing of a legend within our industry. Paul was an inspirational figure to everyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting him or working with him and we are all devastated.” His family is yet to announce his final funeral arrangements

Paul Kitching is survived by his wife Katie O’Brien. The couple have over 60 years of combined restaurant experience. They own and ran restaurants including Juniper in Greater Machester and 21212 in Edinburg, Scotland.
