Parris Campbell parents-American football wide receiver, Parris John Campbell Jr. was born on July 16th, 1997 Akron, Ohio in the United States of America.
At Akron, Ohio, Campbell attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. In high school, he ran back and wide receiver.
He rushed for 1,584 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior. In his junior and senior years, Campbell also guided St. Vincent-St. Mary to back-to-back state titles (in 2012 and 2013).
He made a commitment to play collegiate football at Ohio State University. In high school, Campbell also competed in track. Campbell played in four games as a freshman in 2015 after redshirting his first year at Ohio State in 2014, however he did not register any receptions.
He recorded 21 kick returns for 584 yards and 13 catches for 121 yards as a sophomore in 2016. Campbell has 40 catches for 584 yards and three touchdowns as a junior in 2017. In 2018, he went back to Ohio State for his final year.
Parris Campbell career
The Indianapolis Colts selected Campbell in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft (59th overall). On September 15, 2019, he caught his first NFL touchdown against the Tennessee Titans in Week 2.
He fractured his foot in Week 14, and on December 9 of this year, he was put on injured reserve. After seven games and three starts, he ended the season with 18 receptions for 127 yards and one score.
Throughout his first season, he fought with a number of ailments, including a sports hernia that kept him out of two games and a fractured hand that kept him out of four more.
Campbell caught six catches for a career-high 71 yards in Week 1 of 2020. He hurt his left knee’s PCL and MCL in Week 2, and on September 22, 2020, he was put on injured reserve.
Campbell was placed on injured reserve on October 19, 2021. On January 8th, 2022, he was taken from the waiting list.
