Crossovers have been the big thing in multiplayer games for the past few years, and Overwatch 2 is set to have one of its most high-profile collabs yet in Season 9 with the iconic Cowboy Bebop.
The launch is approaching soon, as players will be able to grab a bunch of Cowboy Bebop-themed cosmetics for their favourite OW Heroes. If you need to learn more about the upcoming crossover and what it means for the game, read on below.
When does Overwatch 2’s Cowboy Bebop crossover launch?
According to Blizzard, the Cowboy Bebop crossover will release on March 12, 2024, for all available platforms.
There’s no news yet on how long the event will last, but I expect it will be a few weeks at least, like previous crossover tie-ins.
Do we know what cosmetics will be available?
We know that the crossover event will feature a bunch of different cosmetics, such as skins, emotes, highlight intros, and more, however, we don’t have many specifics yet.
The press release confirmed we’d find out more about the cosmetics on March 11, so tune in to the Overwatch socials on that date for more info,

What we do know currently, though, is that the character skins will include the following:
- Ed Sombra
- Ein Wreckingball
- Faye Valentine Ashe
- Jet Black Mauga
- Spike Spiegel Cassidy
The Ein Wreckinball skin is confirmed to be free, whereas the others will be premium skins.
As for the rest of the cosmetics or other potential skins, we don’t know anything concrete yet, but we’ll make sure to update this guide with any new info.
