If you’ve ever wondered what an alternate Overwatch 2 timeline would look like where the good and evil heroes swap their allegiances, then you’ll love the new Mirrorwatch event that’s arriving with Season 10.
Alongside the addition of a new hero Venture, Blizzard is adding a limited-time mode that will see our beloved heroes and villains swap their roles – not just with new skins, but with mixed-up abilities, too.
Blizzard is yet to release any official communication on what this LTM will include, but the game’s launch trailer for Season 10 gives us a sneak peek.
Mirrorwatch start & end dates
The Mirrorwatch LTM will begin on April 23 and end on May 16.
That’s a week after Season 10 starts and gives players three and a bit weeks to experience the mode.

From what we can see, it looks like at least seven heroes will receive Mirror versions of themselves in this update:
- Tracer
- Mercy
- Brigitte
- Reinhart
- Sombra
- Widowmaker
- Doomfist
Each of these heroes has had their abilities augmented, with Mercy now able to shoot offensive projectiles from her staff.
Meanwhile, Doomfist is now able to bring up a big shield that’s similar to Reindhart’s, giving huge defensive capabilities to the otherwise damage-focused hero. There may be more ability augments on the table, but we’ll have to wait for the full Season 10 patch notes to find those out.
These ability changes will likely only be available in the dedicated Mirrorwatch mode, as bringing them to the Ranked Play modes would likely be a push too far.
All Mirrorwatch skins we’ve seen so far

As mentioned, there are seven heroes we’ve seen affected by Mirrorwatch so far, with the list the same as above. Tracer, Brigitte, Reinhardt, Sombra, Widowmaker, and Doomfirst all have fairly basic variants of themselves. The new Talon recruits sport a threatening red and black colour scheme, while the new Overwatch members sport a more heroic royal blue affair.
The biggest departure is Mercy, who adorns the Mythic Skin this season. Here, we see a few different variations that all make her look particularly evil. My favourite of the bunch is a red and black variant that also gives her a skull mask inspired by Reaper.
These Mirrorwatch skins will likely be included in the Season 10 Battle Pass, with the Mythic Skin unlocked at the very last tier for those who get that far.
