Nelson Chamisa Children: Meet Ashley Chamisa – Nelson Chamisa is a Zimbabwean politician and former President of the Citizens Coalition For Change. He represented Kuwadzana East, Harare, in the House of Assembly of Zimbabwe.

Chamisa was the MDC Alliance’s presidential candidate in the 2018 general election, having previously led the party’s youth assembly. He has also held roles such as the chairperson of the national youth and Secretary for Information and Publicity for the opposition party Movement for Democratic Change (MDC).

Born on 2 February 1978, in Masvingo, Chamisa pursued education at Harare Polytechnic and the University of Zimbabwe. He became the youngest Member of Parliament at the age of 25 in 2003 and later served as the youngest cabinet minister in the Government of National Unity in 2009.

Despite contesting the 2018 election and disputing the results, he lost to ZANU PF’s Mnangagwa. Chamisa, known for his criticism of the electoral process, claims ZANU-PF lost elections, a view supported by some international observers.

Nelson Chamisa, a qualified lawyer, holds a master’s in International Relations and Diplomacy, a Governance and Development Studies degree from Stanford University, and other academic qualifications. He is characterized as a Christian social conservative and an economic progressive.

Regarding foreign policy, Chamisa embarked on a tour of Israel before the 2018 elections, expressing the intention to open an embassy in Israel if elected. His stance on homosexuality aligns with traditional views, emphasizing a belief in the conventional male-female relationship.
