Mishal Husain career
When Husain was 18 years old, she worked for three months as a city reporter for the English-language newspaper The News in Islamabad, Pakistan. She later completed multiple internships at the BBC while still a student.
Her first position w as as a producer and occasionally as a presenter at Bloomberg Television in London in 1996. She began working for the BBC as a junior producer in the newsroom and for the News 24 channel two years later, in 1998, and eventually transferred to the Economics and Business Unit.

Within a few months, she made the switch to acting in front of the camera, and she has since held a number of positions, including those as a presenter of business news on BBC World News and the BBC News Channel as well as on the daily Breakfast show and Asia Business Report located in Singapore.
She began serving as the organization’s Washington reporter in September 2002, acting as the primary news anchor both before and during the invasion of Iraq.
