On April 10, 2014, CNN announced that Rowe would host Somebody’s Gotta Do It, a brand-new “Original Series” that would debut in the fall 2014 schedule.

Rowe has a long history as a narrator and has experience hosting events. He has voiced American Chopper, American Hot Rod, Deadliest Catch, Wild Pacific, Silver Rush, Ghost Lab, How the Universe Works, and Syfy’s Ghost Hunters for the Discovery Channel.
