When Randy Jackson beat his wife Eliza Shaffy and their 7-month-old daughter Stevanna, he was charged with violence.
He was sentenced to two years of probation and a domestic violence program after entering a no contest plea to the crime, but he failed to follow through on these demands. Later that year, after Shaffy informed authorities that the beatings continued, he was taken into custody.

In 1996, Randy Jackson also declared bankruptcy. A warrant for his arrest was issued in 1998 after he failed to surrender the stock. He admitted admission to bankruptcy fraud in 2001 by omitting to report all of his vehicle assets.
Randy Jackson complained about Oaziaza in 2012, claiming that he owed him $500,000 in back child support. He asserted that the initial paternity litigation hadn’t been served on him and that it had been resolved in 1993.
However, because he was not present at the paternity hearing, Oaziaza was awarded the child by default.
