Nick Robinson is an American actor who as a child, appeared in the stage play A Christmas Carol and Mame in 2008, then he starred in the television sitcom Melissa & Joey (2010-2015).

In 2012, Nick Robinson played the lead role of Joe Toy in the Jordan Vogt-Roberts film The Kings of Summer. He also guest-starred in the episode “Blue Bell Boy”, in the third season of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire. He also began appearing in a series of television commercials for Cox Communications called “Buffer Time is Bonding Time”.

In 2015, Nick Robinson played Zach Mitchell in Jurassic World, for which he is widely known. He played Ben Parish in the film adaptation of the novel The 5th Wave, released in January 2016. Robinson’s performance as Simon received critical acclaim. After reading the script, Robinson revealed that he had broken his own rule of not playing a high school student anymore because he saw the cultural significance of the film.

That year, Nick Robinson was on Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list in the Hollywood and Entertainment categories. In 2019, he starred in the third film version of Richard Wright’s Native Son. In 2020, Nick Robinson starred in the FX miniseries A Teacher and he sent his DM reply to the main character of the sub-series Love, Victor, a Love, Simon on Hulu and appeared in two episodes of the program.
