David Hoy is the adorable father of British multiple world and Olympic champion track cyclist, Chris Hoy.No information has been recorded on David’s personal life including his childhood, parents, siblings, education, and career.

Chris Hoy was born in Scotland, United Kingdom. He used to live in Murrayfield, Edinburgh with his family and siblings. He was born to David Hoy and Carole Hoy. Chris spent most of his childhood in Edinburgh.

Hoy started his education at George Watson’s College. He studied there for some time and was later shifted to the University of St. Andrews. He stayed at the University of St. Andrews till 1996. He studied mathematics and Physics from there. Later, he was admitted to the University of Edinburgh to complete his graduation.He started his training for track cycling there. He bought his first BMX bike in 1982, which cost him around €5. He was quite passionate about track cycling and he was inspired by Eddie Alexander.

In 1984, Hoy started his career. He started his amateur career with Scotia BMX. Although Chris was never able to win any medal till 1999. In 1999, he won his medal at the world championship in Berlin. It was just the start of his illustrious and successful career. He went on to win a total of 11 gold medals at the world championship and many silver and bronze medals in between. Chris has also won a total of six Olympic gold medals and one silver medal. He is the second most decorated Olympian in track cycling.
