Martin Reynolds career
Prior to joining the government, Reynolds practiced law in London. He began working at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1997.
Reynolds became a diplomat and worked as the Deputy High Commissioner at the British High Commission in Pretoria, South Africa, from July 2011 to November 2014.
He served as the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs’ Principal Private Secretary from December 2014 to January 2018, spending a portion of that year in the Foreign Secretary position held by Boris Johnson.
