The Washington Bullets selected Bol in the second round as the 31st overall pick in the 1985 NBA draft. Bol’s first stint with the Bullets lasted three seasons, from 1985 to 1988. During his rookie season, he showcased his shot-blocking prowess, setting numerous records and making a remarkable impact.
In 1988, the Bullets traded Bol to the Golden State Warriors. Bol continued to make his mark by attempting three-point shots with regularity, further diversifying his playing style.
In 1990, Bol was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers, where he played three seasons. Although his production began to decline over time, Bol remained a unique and memorable presence on the court.
Bol briefly played for the Miami Heat, and he made a short return to the Washington Bullets for two games in 1993.
