Fernandez defeated fellow Canadian Carson Branstine in the Gatineau Challenger final on July 21, 2019, to win her maiden professional singles tennis title.

When Fernandez paired up with Rebecca Marino of Vancouver, they won Fernandez’s first professional doubles championship on the same day.
