Jordy Caicedo born on 18 November 1997, is an Ecuadorian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Liga MX club Atlas, on loan from Tigres UANL.
As a child, Jordy Caicedo
played soccer in the “rich boys’ neighborhood”, betting money and always winning. At the age of 15, he unsuccessfully tried out for Santos, one of Brazil’s most successful football teams.
He has been compared to Ecuadorian player Felipe Caicedo. In February 2021, he joined Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia. In July 2022, Jordy Caicedo moved to Mexico and signed with Tigres UANL.
Jordy Caicedo made his debut for the senior national team on 4 June 2021 in a World Cup qualifying match against Brazil. He replaced Enner Valencia in the 76th minute.
Jordy Caicedo made his professional debut later that month at the 2021 Copa América, coming on as a second-half substitute in the opening match against Colombia. Jordy Caicedo scored his first senior national team goal on 25 March 2022, converting a penalty in another World Cup qualifying match against Paraguay in a 3–1 loss.
