On 19 November 2020, Roberts signed a two-year deal with the Wests Tigers. In round 1 of the 2021 NRL season, he made his debut for the Tigers against Canberra.
Roberts played a total of eleven (11) games for the Wests Tigers in the 2021 NRL season as the club finished thirteenth (13) and missed the finals.
In October 2023, he hit the headlines following his arrest at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday, October 11 where he appeared for a brief court mention.
In a statement, the Police confirmed the ex-NRL player had been arrested, saying they had received reports of alleged breaches of an AVO protecting a 35-year-old woman believed to be his wife, Anna Jovanovic
Police officers escorted him outside the building, walked alongside him, and down the stairs into the van. The Police issued a statement saying officers were investigating reports of alleged breaches of the AVO.
Roberts is said to have been taken to Mascot Police Station where he was charged, granted conditional bail, and will appear before Downing Centre again on November 1.
