Jamal Murray attended Grand River Collegiate Institute in Kitchener, later transferring to Orangeville Prep in Orangeville, Ontario. In 2013, he was named MVP at the Jordan Brand Classic International Game making him the 2nd Canadian to win the award after Duane Notice.
