Jake Livermore career

After leaving Arsenal F.C. in 2006 to join the academy of Tottenham Hotspur, Livermore began his career there. He made 39 appearances for the under-18 squad and scored nine goals.

He appeared in 13 more games for the reserves. He signed a one-month loan agreement with Milton Keynes Dons on February 29, 2008.

The next day, he made his professional debut at Stadium MK in a 1-0 victory over Chester City, filling in for Jordan Hadfield for the final 14 minutes. Livermore was a substitute in all five of the League Two team’s games.

He was given a six-month loan to Crewe Alexandra of League One on July 11, 2008. But he broke his fibula during a friendly match against Conference Premier outfit Wrexham. He had to come back to Tottenham for treatment, which kept him out of action for a long time.

On July 24, 2009, Livermore agreed to a new two-year contract with Tottenham. On August 10, 2009, he went on an initial one-month loan to Championship team Derby County.

He scored his first league goal against Nottingham Forest in a 3–2 away defeat on 29 August. He joined Peterborough United, another team in the tier, in January 2010 and stayed there until the end of the 2009–10 campaign.

Before Leeds United’s final eight league games and fight for promotion to the Premier League, on March 24, 2011, he was loaned out to the same tier team.

Livermore remained with Tottenham for the 2011–12 campaign. He scored his first goal as a senior on August 18, 2011, during Spurs’ 5-0 away victory over Heart of Midlothian in the UEFA Europa League qualifying round. In all, Livermore made 38 appearances in all competitions.

Along with teammate Tom Huddlestone, Livermore moved to Hull City at the start of the 2013–14 season on a season-long loan. On the first day of the season, he made his debut in a 0–2 away loss to Chelsea when he replaced Danny Graham off the bench.

Livermore started the match between Hull and Arsenal in the 2014 FA Cup final, which ended in a 3-2 loss at Wembley Stadium following extra time.

Livermore was chosen to play as a center-back alongside recently promoted Curtis Davies at the beginning of the 2016–17 campaign because Hull only had one fully fit recognized center-back at that position.

On January 20, 2017, Livermore signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with West Bromwich Albion, a Premier League rival of Hull, for a reported £10 million.

The next day, he made his debut at The Hawthorns in a 2-0 victory over Sunderland, replacing James Morrison for the final 20 minutes of play off the bench.

He scored the lone goal in a home victory over his old team, Tottenham, two weeks later, preventing his team from being demoted right away.

Jake Livermore was placed on the West Bromwich Albion release list and the club announced his departure on May 23, 2023. The club honored Jake’s many years of devotion to the organization as part of the announcement.

After leaving West Brom, Livermore had been training with Watford, a Championship team, and on July 21, 2023, he signed a one-year contract with them.
