On 28 March 2001, Wang Xiyu was born in Taixing, Taizhou, China. She started playing tennis at a tender age. She was born and brought up in China and took the game of tennis seriously. At a tender age, she realized her passion for tennis. While schooling, she kept her focus on the game and continued doing her graduation. Her family also played a great role in transforming her love for tennis into a profession. They left no stone unturned to support her, despite being in a society where education used to be more important than sports.
Xiyu started playing the game in 2016. She kicked off with a small tournament which she didn’t win. However, in the following week, she played well and made her way into the semi-finals.After that, she played in a bigger tournament in 2017 and won the first match with a bang against an equally talented competitor.
