Viewers were initially confused when the episode ended with an emotional title card dedicated to a man named Kurt Perez. A fan tweeted and asked, “Can someone please remind me who Kurt Perez was? (character-wise)”. An individual replied and said that Perez might be a part of the production crew.
Perez was driving the Taconic State Parkway in March 2022 when he lost control of his 2018 Ford Explorer and crashed into a tree. State police arrived at the scene around 12:30 a.m. and found the 50-year-old deceased. Troopers believe wet road conditions are believed to have caused the accident.
