What are Hwei’s abilities in League of Legends?
Hwei is a unique character in League of Legends, in that he has the capability of casting ten unique spells by using three spellbooks, each with its artistic subject:
Disaster
Ability | Description |
Devastating Fire | Fires a blazing fireball in the target direction. After exploding on the first enemy hit or maximum range, it deals magic damage to all enemies in range. |
Severing Bolt | A long-range bolt that strikes after a delay at the target location, dealing extra damage to immobilized enemies. |
Molten Fissure | Creates volcanic eruptions and a lava path that slows and deals magic damage. |
Serenity
Ability | Description |
Fleeting Current | Grants Hwei and his allies’ movement speed. |
Pool of Reflection | Creates a protective pool that grants immediate shield to all allies within the area. |
Stirring Lights | Hwei’s next 3 attacks deal bonus magic damage and grant mana on impact. |
Torment
Ability | Description |
Grim Visage | Hwei creates a terrifying face that causes enemies to flee when it hits them. |
Gaze of the Abyss | Locks onto the nearest visible champion and eventually fires at them, dealing magic damage. |
Crushing Maw | Creates crushing jaws that deal magic damage and pull enemies slowly to the centre, slowing them. |
Alongside these spellbook abilities, Hwei has the Signature of the Visionary passive, which allows him to mark enemies and, after damaging them, create an explosion beneath them that will deal magic damage to all enemies in range of it.
Additionally, with his Wash Brush ability, Hwei can return all of his base abilities without using mana or being affected by cooldowns.
Finally, Hwei’s Spiraling Despair allows him to engulf enemies in a terrifying zone that inflicts magic damage and applies stacks of Despair that can deal devastating damage.
