If you feel that you need a helping hand in Lords of the Fallen, or just want to experience the game alongside a friend, then beckoning a lampbearer or friend is the perfect way to do this. Here is what you need to know about how to use the multiplayer features in the game.
Lords of the Fallen allows players to use a multitude of multiplayer features, from being summoned into other players’ worlds to assist, or also going to slaughter other lampbearers in PvP.
Here is how you can summon a friend or a fellow lampbearer into your world to enjoy co-op play.
How to summon a friend in Lords of the Fallen

Summoning a friend is very easy. Rather than use an item to summon like the usual method in Soulslikes, instead, here you just have to interact with a menu at a Vestige site.
- Interact with a Vestige site
- Select the multiplayer option
- Select Beckon Friend
- Choose a friend from your friends list and invite them
After that, you have to wait for them to connect to your world, and then it is smooth sailing! (Unless you die, of course).
How to summon a lampbearer in Lords of the Fallen
Summoning a lampbearer is very similar to that of summoning a friend in the game. Instead, you just click on something else on the menu.
- Interact with a Vestige site
- Select the multiplayer option
- Select Beckon Lampbearer
Unlike most Souls games, this game allows you to stay in each other’s worlds long after the area boss has been defeated, allowing you to traverse Axiom and Umbral together. The only time that you will leave is when the host has died. Resummoning is easy to do, though.
