How to holster your weapon in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

While there are plenty of enemies for you to point your weapon at in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you’ll need to know how to holster them at some point. It’s a bit rude to wander around poking a bow and arrow in the face of every NPC you have a natter with, after all.

Ubisoft’s latest open-world explorer does let you put your weapon away with the press of a button, but it’s very easy to forget the button prompt after you’ve been shown for the first time. Below, we’ll walk through how to holster your weapon in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, no matter whether you’re using a controller or a mouse and keyboard.

How to holster your weapon

If you’re using a controller, you can holster your weapon by pressing the ‘Y’ button on an Xbox pad, or the ‘Triangle’ button on PlayStation.

Those using a mouse and keyboard to play Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will need to press the ‘T’ button to put their weapon away.

If these buttons don’t work, you can check which button is bound to the holster action in the controls menu. Here, you can rebind all of the game’s functions, no matter which input device you’re using.

Do you need to holster your weapon in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora?

It’s not necessary to put your weapons away while playing Avatar, but I like to do so for the sake of immersion.

For one, I find it quite rude to approach friendly NPCs with a bow and arrow or assault rifle equipped, as it looks like I’m aiming the weapon right at them while speaking to them.

Additionally, the weapon models in Frontiers of Pandora are quite large, no matter which FOV option you choose. With the world of Pandora as gorgeous as it is, it deserves to be explored without a massive weapon covering a quarter of the screen.
