Modern Warfare 3 Zombies mode brings back the Ray Gun, an iconic Call of Duty franchise weapon. It first appeared in World at War, where it was a secret Easter Egg in the Campaign and a rare Mystery Box reward on Zombies maps like Nacht der Untoten and Verrückt.
Thankfully, the weapon has been reintroduced in the latest Modern Warfare instalment. However, you have to unlock it before you can use it to fight against the Zombies.

How to get Ray Gun Schematic in MW3 Zombies

Crafting is one of the ways to unlock Ray Gun in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, which requires you to find its schematic. While it’s not been confirmed officially, a Reddit user claimed that they were able to get a Schematic for the Ray Gun by defeating the Mega Abomination for a Bounty.
The Mega Abomination is a boss monster in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies. It is a large and powerful enemy that carries the corpses of the Crawler. The boss is located in the Tier 3 region and is quite difficult to take down.

However, the Mega Abomination has several weak spots that you can target to deal more damage. The head and the chest are the most vulnerable areas, so aim for them whenever possible. Once you complete the core objective, you’ll be rewarded with Ray Gun Schematic.
How to craft Ray Gun Schematic in MW3
Once you have the Ray Gun Schematic, follow these steps to craft it in Modern Warfare 3:
- Head to the ‘Gear’ tab.
- Open your Rucksack and choose a slot.
- Go to the Schematic Crafting option at the bottom.
- Select the Wonder Weapons tab from the menu.
- Craft the Ray Gun by clicking on it.
Please note: The Schematic you want may not always be dropped by Mega Abomination, and there are other ways to get the Schematic for the gun, such as opening mystery boxes and finding an Acquisition Stash.
