The Cursed Sails event is upon us in Fortnite, and as expected there is a slew of new content to engage with, including two Captain Jack Sparrow skins if you want to rep the mascot of the Pirates of the Caribbean films.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to get them.
How to get the Jack Sparrow skin

For both of the skins, you’ll need to spend some cash, but the Jack Sparrow one is easier to get.
Just pay 1000 V-Bucks to purchase the Premium Reward Track for the Cursed Sails battle pass, and you’ll unlock Jack Sparrow automatically. He can also be equipped in LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing.
How to get the Cursed Jack Sparrow skin

The Cursed Jack Sparrow skin actually requires some effort on your behalf. Once you have the Premium Reward Track, you’ll need to gather 11,000 Cursed Gold throughout the event to purchase it.
Gold is earned from completing Pirate Code quests. There will be eight sets of these in total throughout the event, with the first two currently available to finish. Here are the release dates for the rest:
- Pirate Code Three – July 23
- Pirate Code Four – July 25
- Pirate Code Five – July 27
- Pirate Code Six – July 29
- Pirate Code Seven – July 31
- Pirate Code Eight – August 2
Based on the release schedule, you have two days each for these quests if you want to keep on top of them. They’ll all be available until the end of the event on August 6, but it’ll be harder to finish them all if you leave them until later.
Cursed Jack Sparrow can also be used in LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing.
