How to get Silk in Black Myth: Wukong

Silk is a key resource when crafting armour in Black Myth: Wukong, so you’ll want to build up a big surplus of the material, especially with how often you can craft new armour as you progress.

Unlike many resources in the game, there are no plants to harvest it from, and thus, the reliability of farming is lessened. However, there are still many ways to get Silk; here’s how.

How to get Silk

To get Silk, you can gather it from some chests while exploring, pick it up from slain enemies, or purchase it from the store at most Shrines.

Chests can only be opened one time, but there’s a good chance you’ll earn some Silk when doing so. However, most of the Silk you acquire will come from the other sources.

Many enemies drop the material, but the most reliable way of getting it is in chapter two. The basic rat enemies around the Sandgate Village or Windrest Hamlet in this chapter have a high chance of dropping Silk.

This means you can farm it consistently by clearing the area, resting at a Shrine and repeating the process. Even playing this chapter normally, I found I had enough to keep upgrading my armour; if you run low, though, you have the option.

Finally, if you don’t mind sparing some Will, you can purchase Silk at many of the Shrine stores for 600 a piece.

The Shrine found in the Chapter One Secret in particular stocks this, so check out the linked guide to find it.
