In Season 9 of Overwatch 2, Blizzard is looking to provide additional ranked rewards in the form of Jade weapon skins, but how exactly will you earn them?
Overwatch 2 was a surprise sequel of sorts, with many expecting it to fail, but despite some issues, the game has gone on to attract a consistent playerbase that’s seen eight full seasons of content so far.
And with the next season on the way, players will want to learn more about the weapons they can possibly earn for free.
How to get Jade weapons in Overwatch 2
As we learned during the Overwatch 2 panel during BlizzCon 2023, players will be able to earn Jade weapons by gaining and spending 2024 Competitive Points during Season 9.

As the ranked mode has been rebalanced, you earn CP by just playing, with more granted for wins. This means you can grab all the Jade skins you want by consistently playing.
These guns are part of an initiative to start introducing more competitive mode rewards from Season 9 onwards.
Jade weapons are set to cost 3000 CP each, and you can only earn them during 2024 as the specific competitive points are only available for the duration of this year.
Any previous Competitive Points you’ve collected will not be available to use on the Jade weapons, as they will be transferred into Legacy Points that can be used to obtain Gold weapons.
