While we all certainly spent far too long in Dragon’s Dogma 2’s character creator, you don’t always get the result you’re happy with – so finding out how to change the appearance of both your character and your Pawn can cover some costly mistakes.
There is thankfully a way to do this plenty of times in-game, but it does come at a cost – leaving you to decide whether a fancy new makeover is worth more than a fancy new weapon for your Vocation.
How to customise your appearance
You can change the appearance of your character or your Pawn by using an Art of Metamorphosis tome or heading to a Barberie in one of the main cities on your travels.

The Art of Metamorphosis tome can be picked up from the vendor inside any Pawn’s Guild and will set you back 500 RC – the currency tied to Pawns in-game.

Furthermore, Barberies allow you to change your hairstyle, makeup, or any markings on your characters – with each of them costing 10,000 Gold individually or 25,000 Gold if you’re doing multiple at the same time.

You will need to take an Art of Metamorphosis tome to a Barberie to use it though, but as far as I’m aware it won’t cost you any more than the initial RC that you laid down to purchase it.
Unfortunately, this tome is single-use and the shop in the Pawn’s Guild does only have a limited supply – so make sure you’re happy with your changes as you only get a limited number of tries.
