Genshin Impact has released a new update, version 3.4, called “Exquisite Night Bells”.
The update includes a new area called “Hadramaveth Desert” that has ravines and lost cities, new quests, costumes, etc.
In this area you will have new daily commissions, fishing spots and radiant spinning crystals.
New characters that will be added to the game include “Admonishing Instruction” Alhaitham (Dendro) and “Burgeoning Grace” Yaoyao (Dendro).
Alhaitham has a sword and an elemental skill called “Universality: An Elaboration on Form” that can damage Dendro and form a mirror of opaque light.
Yaoyao has a rifle weapon and an elemental skill called “Raphanus Sky Cluster” that can throw exploding White Jade Radishes.
There are two new domains including “Fane of Panjvahe” and “City of the Deceed”.
To unlock them, you need to reach Adventure Rank 32 or higher and meet specific requirements.

How to “Activate the device and open the gate” in Genshin Impact
To activate the device and open the portal in Genshin Impact, you need to attack the Rune Mechanic three times.
After you hit the Rune Mechanic three times, the energy beam will strike the sand and destroy it.
You will then be able to interact with the cube that was previously in the sand.
Here’s how to do this (expanding screenshot above):
- Attack the Rune Mechanic (three times) until the energy beam hits the sand pile.
- Head towards the cube that was previously in the sand pile and select “Start”.
After you select “Start”, the gate will open and the next goal is to go deeper inside the temple.
Note: Attacking the Rune Mechanic will change the direction of its energy beam.
When the energy beam hits a pile of sand, it destroys it and reveals what’s inside it.
