Korra is coming to Fortnite in Chapter 5 Season 2, with her own skin and a suite of cosmetic items to unlock – but they won’t be available from launch.
The new season is themed around the Olympian gods of Greek mythology, but among them is the Avatar herself with her admittedly god-like powers.
Korra joins the game as part of the Battle Pass, but much like last season’s Solid Snake, you will have to wait a while and complete some extra tasks to unlock her. Here’s what you need to know.
Avatar Korra skin release date in Fortnite
To get the Avatar Korra skin for yourself, you’ll have to wait until April 2, 2024. While she is part of this season’s Battle Pass, she’s not included in the regular unlockables at launch.
It’s pretty typical for Fortnite’s Battle Passes to have at least one bonus character that requires extra steps to unlock. As mentioned before, last season we could get Solid Snake and several MGS-themed items by owning the Battle Pass and completing some extra steps.

What you’ll need to do to unlock Korra
On April 2, the Korra quest steps will be unlocked. Provided you own the Battle Pass, you will be able to complete these challenges to unlock her themed cosmetic items, and once you complete them all, you should unlock the Korra skin.
At the time of writing, we have only seen the Korra skin, but based on the challenge screen we know she has at least five more items to unlock on the first page, as well as a second page of unknown cosmetics.
We don’t yet know what the challenges are, as they likely won’t be revealed until April 2 when the challenges go live in the game. Based on previous seasons, we can assume that these challenges will fit the theme of the character. For example, some of the challenges for unlocking Solid Snake included hiding in a cardboard box, dealing close-quarters damage, or destroying cameras.
For Korra, I can imagine her challenges revolving around the four elements: water, fire, earth, and air. Whatever they may be, check back on April 2 to find out as I’ll update this guide when more info is available.
