List of 10 Most Expensive Vinyl Records in the World

1. Wu-Tang Clan: Once Upon a Time in Shaolin – $2 million

This is the one and only copy of Wu-Tang Clan’s 2015 album, which is by far the most costly record ever sold. The record comes with a contract that states that the buyer may neither sell or profit from the record for 100 years, yet the owner may release the album for free if they so desire.

The buyer was revealed to be controversial Turing Pharmaceuticals CEO Martin Shkreli, who has become something of a pariah in America as a result of his company’s purchase of an anti-HIV medicine and subsequent 5,000% price increase.

He paid the asking price of $2 million (about £1.5 million) to become its owner, which displeased several fans. However, Shkreli has since been convicted of securities fraud and sentenced to 20 years in prison by a federal judge. The LP has also been taken by the Feds and, as far as we know, is still in their possession.
