Halo Infinite Season 5 Reckoning leaked gameplay details, trailer & more

Halo Infinite Season 5: Reckoning is the newest season heading to the game, and while we don’t have an official launch for it just yet, we know it’ll be coming soon – and now we have an upcoming trailer to get us even more excited for it.

Infinite’s seasons are pretty long, usually lasting around three months, so fans have been eager for Season 5 to get some major new content. Like much of the fanbase, I’m hoping Season 5 can deliver, as Infinite’s content has been pretty solid lately.

But what do we actually know about Halo Infinite Season 5? We’ll explain all the info we have in this guide, so keep reading.

What gameplay details do we have for Halo Infinite Season 5?

The major draw of Halo Infinite Season 5 will be whatever new game mode is added, and while we’re not 100% sure what form it will take, rumours point towards a game mode called Extraction (via The Metro).

We also expect two new maps as most seasons have a couple of maps released alongside them. We don’t have full confirmation of these maps yet, but usually, there’s one for Arena and one for Big Team Battle.

The Season’s name “Reckoning” could also refer to the House of Reckoning, which is the Banished area you visit near the end of the game’s campaign. In that part of the campaign, you have to hold off against waves of Banished enemies, which could suggest a PvE mode like Firefight is coming in this update. Nothing has been confirmed so we’ll have to wait and see.

Are there any trailers for Season 5 of Halo Infinite?

You can view a link to the Halo Infinite Season 5: Reckoning trailer above, which is set to air at 5PM BST/12PM EST, on October 9th 2023.

The image for this trailer shows new Spartan armour, including what looks like a flood-infected Spartan holding a weapon and a grappling hook. Does this mean we’ll be able to play as an infected Spartan in multiplayer? It certainly seems that way, but we’ll know for sure when the trailer drops.

We also see some new skins and what appears to be a new take on the EOD helmet which debuted in Halo 3. Other than that, we don’t know what we can expect to see in this trailer, but it should be a full reveal of all that Season 5 has to offer.
