Gregg Popovich is an American professional basketball coach who serves as the president and head coach of the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Associ ation (NBA). Popovich has been a part of the Spurs organization since 1994, where he was in charge of basketball operations and general manager before taking the mantle to coach the team as at 1996.
He holds the record as the longest tenured active coach in the NBA and is still very active presently. He is regarded as one of the all-time greatest coaches in the NBA, holding the record of the coach with the most wins of any other coach in NBA history. Popovich was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2023.
