Gayle The Universe Boss Announces Retirement from International Cricket

Chris Gayle’s reaction after getting out indicated that he had decided to take retirement from International Cricket after the West Indies were eliminated from the T20 World Cup 2021. The match between West Indies and Australia was meant to be the last for two legends of the game, Christopher Henry Gayle and Dwayne Bravo. But after the match, the Caribbean Giant expressed his desire to retire after getting to play a match in front of his home crowd in Jamaica.

The incident happened in the 2nd inning. Gayle came to bowl the 16th over and with 1 run to get, he took the wicket of Mitchell Marsh in the last ball of the only over he bowled in the match. Gayle in his final international inning scored a quickfire 15 of 9 deliveries. The Universe Boss was looking to be in his mood to put on an impactful knock for his team. The inning contained two massive sixes before Pat Cummins cleaned him up with a gem of a delivery. Ultimately West Indies managed to get 157 in 20 overs. Thanks to a decent inning of 44(31) run from Pollard. The Aussies chased it down comfortably with 8 wickets in hand and 3.4 overs to spare.
