When Pandora’s Box opened and the Olympian Gods stormed the Island, Scrying Pools popped up in Fortnite, too. Historically, Scrying Pools are used in divination and fortune-telling, and we’ll need to utilise their magic in Fortnite if we hope to save the Island.
This primer explains the purpose of Scrying Pools in Chapter 5 Season 2, along with all the locations you can find them so you can use the fortune-telling tools in the game.
How to use Scrying Pools
Scrying Pools are a key component in the story of Myths & Mortals, and they can be used by interacting with the golden object to communicate with The Oracle, who will send you off on tasks and allow you to use Scrying Pools to speak with the Olympian Gods.

The journey begins with Oracle’s Snapshot Quests. This is just the start of a season-long adventure, but completing these challenges will grant you rewards like XP and cosmetics.
All Oracle Snapshot quests in Fortnite
Here are all of Oracle’s Snapshot Quests and their rewards – many of which require you to interact with Scrying Pools:

If you’ve already completed these challenges, The Oracle has revealed all she can regarding your fate and instructs you to check back later.
Scrying Pools will likely come into play again in Chapter 5 – Season 2, so remember where they’re at and prepare to revisit them at a later date!
Where to find Scrying Pools in Chapter 2 Season 5

There are four Scrying Pools on the current map’s Island. As shown in the map above – courtesy of Fortnite.gg – one is located west of The Underworld, and another is southwest of Pleasant Piazza. There’s also one northwest of Reckless Railways, and the last of which is at Mount Olympus.
You may be disappointed to find out that you can’t get Mythics or Aspects from Scrying Pools, but if you’re someone who’s interested in the history and lore of Fortnite or just want some easy XP, it’s still worth paying a visit to The Oracle.
